NNP COORDINATOR NEEDED FOR THE DIVISION OF NEONATOLOGY IN A PRESTIGIOUS TEACHING HOSPITAL IN NEW MEXICO! The Division of Neonatology within the Department of Pediatrics is looking for a MANAGER of their 20 NNPS/PA team who provide mid-level medical and patient care services to at risk newborns and their families in a Level III NICU in THE NEW CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL. This position will provide administrative management and oversight of direct patient care, and act as a liaison between the Neonatal Practice Service and other provider services. The Medical Director wants to establish a real presence in the new Children's Hospital. The overall scope of the position (administrative time vs clinical time) will be determined by the Coordinator and the Medical Director. The Medical Director's philosophy for the leadership position is "to embody by doing", but she is open to suggestions and ideas from the potential Coordinator. The NNP Coordinator can model participation in the new 32 bed Level III unit for the NNP/PA team as well as the students and residents in order to develop a relationship with the team and determine their needs. Developmental care is stressed in the unit as well as research. They are very active in the NIH Neonatal Research Network. This is an academic setting where teaching is big, and applicants must enjoy an academic setting. All sub-specialties are represented. The NNP team provides patient management in collaboration with the Neonatologists; attends high risk deliveries and participates in transport. EXPERIENCED MSN CANDIDATES ONLY. Salary will be based upon experience and a full benefit package will be provided by the University. There are also POSITIONS AVAILABLE for NNPs who desire a strictly clinical role.
