Pediatric Nurse Practitioner/Physician’s Assistant

The Pediatric Critical Care and Hospitalist Service (PCCHS) at Avera Children’s in Sioux Falls, S.D., is currently seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant to provide support to the physicians of the PCCHS.
Responsibilities include providing patient care within your scope of practice; organizing patient data; and assisting PCCHS physicians with information processing, storage, and medical documentation. You will also have a key role in multidisciplinary case management activities and parent/patient education.
Applicants must be licensed or qualified for licensure as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant in the state of South Dakota and meet the requirements of multi-state licensure. Candidates must have a master’s degree from an NLN accredited school of nursing or equivalent and a degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited physician assistant program. At least 2 years of experience in pediatrics, critical care or emergency medicine is required.
